Good Angel Foundation
In our company, we are fully aware of the fact that the greatest happiness is to be healthy, to be able to move without difficulty, to work, to live our lives and to fulfil our dreams. For this reason we regularly support Nadace Dobrý anděl (Good Angel Foundation). For a long time, this foundation helps families being in difficult situations due to illness. Thanks to this charity system, the donors – so called Good Angels – can significantly help thousands of sick people, and the company PAVUS, a.s. is one of them.
Kateřina Antošová
We realize that not everyone has the same opportunities and that life throws various obstacles in our way; overcoming them without any support may be very difficult.
For this reason we are happy to financially support handbiker Kateřina Antošová and help her to fulfil her dreams. After an unfortunate fall, Kateřina injured her spinal cord and lost sensation in the lower half of her body. However, in a short period of time she was riding a handbike and beating her first rivals at races. She is now one of our best handbikers.
Not only thanks to our financial help she managed to get a new handbike, which will hopefully help her to achieve further sport successes.
We continue this cooperation and wish her many sport successes.
Thanks to Pavus, a.s. and a recap of the 2021 racing season
The year 2021 was the eighth year of my handbiker sports career. I timed my fig correctly for the two most important races of the year. The first was the World Cup, which took place in the first decade of July in Portugal. The second season highlight was the Paralympics in Tokyo at the turn of August and September.
In both races, I confirmed my current position as the fifth best female handbiker in the world. The road race in Tokyo went even better for me, finishing fourth in my category and sixth in the combined H3 and H4 category. The categories are divided according to the degree of disability, not according to age (if that were the case, then I would be second in the 50+ category at the Paralympics 😊).
In addition, I completed another 7 races in Europe and 5 in the Czech Republic, as covering a certain number of racing kilometres is an important part of training.
If someone had told me five years ago that I would have one more Paralympics ahead of me, I would have thought they were crazy. On the one hand, I'm glad it worked out. I'm happy to be riding faster, but of course it costs me more and more energy. Thanks to the support of the Pavus company, I can direct my energy to improve the conditions for the best sports performance. For example, this year I passed stress tests in a special thermal chamber. This helped me to adapt to the climate conditions in Tokyo. On the other hand, I am looking forward to passing on my experience to younger paracyclists. Next year, I would like to “ride out" the nomination for the WC and the Paralympics for them as well.
Thanks to Pavus and all employees!
Thanks to you, I was the most successful Czech cyclist in Tokyo.
